This is a 2 piece 9 foot rod 15-24kg that has landed countless big Sharks off the rocks and beaches. The Shimano Bronzie Basher is our latest exclusive new land based fishing rod that has just arrived in store. This rod is an upgraded version of the popular Shimano DNA Land Based Game rod that we used to sell but we wanted to make a few changes. Firstly, we wanted to make the tip section stronger and stiffer to get a better hookup when striking the rod which has been done to perfection. The other changes are just cosmetic which a new name the BRONZIE BASHER and some better graphics.

The rod itself is designed primarily for South Australian land-based Shark fishing but will also be great for Kingfish, Tuna, Marlin and other hard fighting game fish encountered off other land based locations around the country.

The rod is 9 foot long, 2 piece which comes apart midway through the rod, is 15-24kg, full runner guides with a black alloy reel seat and black alloy gimble with a hard plastic rear grip which will hold up to rocks if wedged into the rocks and a long EVA fore grip which is great when fighting Sharks and game fish for long periods of time.

The best size reels for this rod are 30 – 50w sized reels. The DNA Land Based Game was great, but this rod is excellent
